In this tour you will see Baikal and experience diverse winter activities at the Lake – snowmobiling, husky sledding, and downhill skiing. You will also have enough time to learn about the legendary Lake, its flora and fauna, and to behold the Lake in solitude to absorb the winter beauty of Baikal on your own.

Itinerary
Day 1 | Meeting at the airport, luggage assistance, breakfast. Transfer by coach to Listvyanka located in the mouth of Angara-river, 70 km away from Irkutsk. On the way – stop at the source of the Angara river, the only river flowing out of Baikal, to listen to the local legend Check in at the hotel U Ozera or Flagman, lunch in the hotel restaurant Visit to Baikal Ecology Museum which has a large display of unique exhibits of the lake’s flora and fauna, see an interesting video about Lake Baikal and also visit the Baikal fresh water seal aquarium. Dinner with the local family (with the specialty of Baikal - freshly smoked omul fish - and traditional tea), overnight in the hotel |
Day 2 | Breakfast. Safety and snowmobile driving instructions. Half-day snowmobiling trip to Chernaya Pad’, through the taiga-woods backcountry of Pribaikalsky National Park with stops en route to enjoy the views (two persons on a snowmobile, total distance 36 km). Tea at the cafeteria of the retreat lodge, return to Listvyanka Lunch in the hotel restaurant Ride in Siberian husky sleds in the vicinity of Chelpanov meadow in the taiga-wood Dinner, overnight at the hotel |
Day 3 | Early breakfast, check out. Depart from Listvyanka by Air Cushioned Amphibious Vehicle (ACV) along the western part of Baikal Lake to the lake’s southmost point - settlement of Baikalsk, the town previously notorious for its pulp&paper mill, and nowadays famous for the best in the Lake Baikal area alpine skiing center situated at the foothills of Hamar Daban Range. Check-in at the Guest House or cottages scenically located not far from lake Baikal. Lunch First visit to the Sable Mountain Alpine Skiing Center to enjoy downhill skiing on Lake Baikal (lift and equipment is not included in the price and is paid extra) Dinner of Siberian cuisine, overnight |
Day 4 | Breakfast. Full day skiing on Sable Mountain (ski lift and equipment is not included in the price and is paid extra) Lunch at the cafeteria of the Guest House or Cottage Dinner at the cottage or Guest House, overnight |
Day 5 | Breakfast, departure by coach back to Irkutsk with several stops on the way (4 hours) Check in at the hotel in Irkutsk, lunch in one of the city restaurants Transfer to the railway station, departure to Moscow at 16.20 |
