TRANSPORTATION OF ANIMALS
Transportation of small pet animals like dogs and birds , in all long distance travel weighing up to 20kgs is paid as per the charges of 20 kg luggage and if higher then 20kg according to factual weight.
Transportation of dogs in passenger trains is done:
- in containers or boxes with pallets in baggage cars;
- in non-working tambour of the first (behind locomotive) ordinary passenger car (second-class carriage), but no more than 2 dogs of large breeds in muzzle and on lead, under supervision of owners, which should pass in the same car;
- In the CIS countries transportation of dogs is supposed in separate compartment of ordinary passenger car (second-class carriage), but no more than two animals in one compartment. Also a passenger has to pay cost of travel documents for number of seats in compartment.
Transportation of small domestic animals and birds is supposed in all cars (except fist class), if it is not forbidden by veterinary rules.
Transportation in baggage cars small domestic animals, dogs, birds is made after presentation of appropriate veterinary certificates.
Group transportation of dogs are supposed only under the forward orderings addressed to the chief of station, but not later than 5 days prior to departure.
